Sephiroth’s Masamune as it appears in DISSIDIA: Final Fantasy.
Masamune is arguably the most recognizable weapon in Final Fantasy. Maybe challenged by the Buster Sword. It’s also a massive source of curiosity for me. It really peeves me that they never actually specify where Sephiroth got it from. After his ‘death’, he can also summon copies of it, most obviously shown in Advent Children after manifesting his image using Kadaj’s body. As far as I can remember, Tifa is the only other person that has picked it up.
So, forgive me dedicating an entire post to a weapon with no actual history. But its bugged me for years that it’s origin is never given.
